1. Building an FPGA RISC-V Soft Core: Sameer Srivastava
Sameer talks about RISC-V and the process of building a RISC-V SoC on an FPGA. He also covers the minimal C library used to control GPIOs, UART, and onboard LEDs, and his current work in progress.
2. You Don't Need Expensive Tools to Play with Silicon: Pranav M
Pranav talks about getting started with RISC-V without expensive tools. He walks through an open hardware stack using Verilator/Icarus for simulation, Yosys for synthesis, and OpenROAD for place-and-route, then shows how platforms like Tiny Tapeout make real silicon accessible to students and hobbyists.
3. Photographer's Guide to the Galaxy: Anshul P
SIRIL is a free and open-source software for astrophotography image processing. It is designed to be user-friendly and powerful, making it an excellent choice for both beginners and experienced astrophotographers. In this talk, we will explore the features of SIRIL, how to use it for processing astrophotography images.
4. The Tao of Compiler Engineering: Ashutosh Pandey
Compiler Engineering sits at a unique intersection of hardware, theory, and real-world tradeoffs. It focuses on two core goals: making code compile correctly and run fast. In this session, Ashutosh draws from experience at Arduino, FSF/GNU, Intel Mobileye, and AMD to explain what compiler engineers work on, the challenges they face, and where compiler technology has surprising impact.
